Prima was wrong =(
Lol this is a litlle thing... but i'm not the type of person to let little things slip...
In the Guild Wars Factions trailer, the sequence of events is different from the Prima strategy guide narrative of the Jade Wind.
1-everybody goes up into the sanctuary
2-shiro kills emperor, gong rings, shiro finishes the "evil ritual"
3-warriors rush up, get massacred
4-vizu comes, knocks blades out of shiro's hands
5-faction champions cut up shiro, jade wind
In the Prima strategy guide narrative, the sequence is like this-
1-everybody goes upto the sanctuary
2-shiro kills emperor,gong rings
3-warriors rush up
4-vizu shadow steps AHEAD of the warriors and knocks shiro's blades out of
his hands, INTERRUPTING shiro's "evil ritual"
5-warriors come and cut up shiro, jade wind
lol notice anything different?

nope...
Did you actually notice how different the Harvest temple ingame looks from the Harvest Temple in the pre-rendered movie?
Not to mention the whole cutscene of the Harvest temple in which things are put in a totally different perspective then the prerendered movie.

Obviously someone is wrong.
Prima had their book made in advance (inorder to get it released the same time Factions was released). So if Prima was told one thing and the developers changed it, its not Prima's fault. Same token, the Trailers don't always happen the way the finished product shows. Twister for example, depicts a few things in the trailer, but the theatre version doesn't show it at all (ends up on the cutting room floor). Same with Scary Movie 4 and a few other movies.
Now whether or not Shiro completes the ritual (trailer says yes, Prima says no), doesn't change the fact... or does it? What evil ritual was performed? Is it for releasing the 6th God? If it was, then Prima is correct. If it was for him to get more power, then it can go either way. The ritual could have been the reason for the Jade Wind (completed - then killing Shiro releases the Jadewind; not completed - spell is interupted and the fury of the Jadewind is released, as Shiro could no longer control it).

shiro never completed the ritual in the cinematic, he was meditating to complete it. the fact that the harvest temple looked different was because it was crumbling and everything.

It's because ANet tells Prima what to put in about certain places, Prima gets it up for the release, and in the meantime ANet might've changed a bit of stuff.

Agreed X2,
Although not as much of the story was covered in the Prophecies cinematic as in the Factions one, the Prophecies cinematic, IMO, was much better. Also, just as you said, dissapointed there wasn't a Nightfall cinematic. Would've been cool to see a pre-rendered video few Paragons leading a large number of Warriors/Dervishes/etc. into battle against Varesh or a lot of Margonites.
